The Collegedale Academy Eagles from Collegedale, Tennessee, won the 2018 Union College Invitational Volleyball Tournament.
The Campion Academy Cougars from Loveland, Colorado, won the 2018 Union College Invitational Soccer Tournament.
The Collegedale Academy Eagles won the volleyball bracket and the Campion Academy Cougars won the soccer bracket at the 2018 Union College Invitational Tournament on Saturday night, Oct. 20, 2018.
Campion earned first place by defeating the North Dallas Adventist Academy Sentinals 2-0 in the 7:30 p.m soccer championship game. Collegedale won in three sets against College View Academy in the 10:00 p.m. tournament finale.
The tournament got underway on Thursday, Oct. 18, using a seeded pool play format to accomodate 12 womens volleyball teams and 10 mens soccer teams. Games began at 9:00 a.m. and play on Thursday and Friday determined seeding into three finals brackets for volleyball and two for soccer. This format allowed each team to have two games during the championship round on Friday afternoon and Saturday night.
