Top five reasons to study nursing at Union College
Best program in Nebraska — Union College's nursing graduates posted the best pass rate in Nebraska over the past five years — including 100 percent for the May 2023 class!
Great scholarships — Union offers great scholarships to help make a great nursing school more affordable than you thought possible. See below for more info.
Mentorship designed for you — Each nursing student receives personal attention from professors through in-person classes — not video conferenced from another campus. Class sizes are small so you'll get to know your teachers face-to-face and find that they take a real interest in helping you reach your career goals.
Easy to transfer — We admit new classes in August and January. That means you can apply while you finish up your prerequisites and transfer into our five-semester program when they're completed.
Clinicals in Lincoln — You won't have to travel to complete your clinical rotations. All rotations take place at health care facilities right here in our home town.
Live your faith — You don’t have to subscribe to a specific kind of faith to attend Union, but we create an environment where it is easy to live out and grow your faith as you prepare to follow your calling. Plus our Global Health Nursing class will give you a chance to serve people in a developing nation.
Every student receives a scholarship—guaranteed.

I never expected that I would go to a small college, but as soon as I toured Union's campus, I knew it was where I wanted to be. Everyone was so welcoming and the approach to nursing education was different. We didn't look at patients as just a set of symptoms, but as a whole person who needed love, care, touch, and prayer. The nursing professors were so encouraging throughout the program and have continued to encourage me now that I'm working as a nurse in the ICU. I'm so glad I chose Union.

Do I have to live on campus?
Living at Union
While Union College is primarily a residential campus for students under 22 years old, we understand living on campus doesn't work for everyone in our community. That's why anyone who transfers to Union from another college to start one of our health science programs may live off campus.
